Smart speakers aren’t a new thing by any stretch, but finding one that can understand a lot of the unique Aussie vocabulary has been hard over the years, particularly as they become more mainstream and less for tech heads.
Amazon has solved that problem, adding Aussie slang to the Alexa vocabulary. Phrases such as “play an absolute banger” to play a song or “day for it” to hear the weather, or just using the device for plain old Aussie facts are all now recognised when talking to one of the main smart speakers on offer (the full range is here).
