The folks at Seagate love a good themed hard drive, but this latest one is one of their most inventive and extra yet.
Taking aim squarely at Star Wars fans, Seagate has brought out a new version of its FireCuda 530 Gen4 NVMe SSD that features a glowing lightsaber design. The beauty of this one is that the faceplates can be interchanged, with the SSD coming with Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi designs – complete with customisable RGB lighting.
The interchangeable faceplates also act as a passive heatsink and their unique loading mechanism and design were engineered with the world-leading designers at EKWB, with the SSD offering up to 7,300 MB/s sequential read speeds and coming in 1TB or 2TB capacities. The 1TB is priced at an RRP of $299 while the 2TB is set at $449.
You can get the 2TB model on Amazon now for $417 with free international shipping.
