Steam Machine Reservation Emails Have Gone Out So Check Your Inbox

WOAW!

UPDATE: Valve has now sent out emails to anyone who registered for a Steam Machine. The email either was one that said you were on the reservation list and that an email would be sent in the coming weeks with a link to purchase, or it was an email that said that you were chosen what is currently beyond the current production run.

Interestingly enough, people that selected multiple options were picked for the highest tier if they were drawn as a lucky winner in multiple different forms.

“When your Steam Machine becomes available, we will send you a separate email with the option to purchase. You’ll then have 3 days to complete the purchase before we cancel your reservation and move on to the next person in the queue. This is the only email you will receive about the results of the randomization. If you ended up with a reservation queue spot for more than one model, you were allocated a reservation for the highest end model, and were removed from all the others.”

ORIGINAL STORY: Valve has revealed the Steam Machine price and release date, and whilst it’s not hugely unexpected at this point, the price is definitely beyond what we were hoping for.

The Steam Machine will be sold in four configurations starting at $1,609 for the 512GB version without a controller all the way up to $2,228 for the 2TB version with a controller.
