Redfall Is A New Vampire Game Coming Exclusively To Xbox From Arkane Studios

To close out the Xbox and Bethesda conference, Phil lifted the lid on Arkane Austin’s rumoured vampire-shooter title Redfall. The game was originally rumoured under its, likely, working title Omen.

It certainly carries over Arkane’s signature style and flair and does a great job of building out its world from a brief CGI trailer. It’s billed as a cooperative, open-world immersive shooter, whether it carries over the sim elements their games are known for is still a mystery, but it’s clear the game will have plenty of humour, great characters and tight gameplay.

The game is set in the unassuming island town of Redfall, Massachusetts. It’s under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the island off from the outside world—big Mr. Burns energy.

Redfall allows players to drop in or out of single and multiplayer options seamlessly, meaning the player will be able to tackle the threat alone or squad-up with up to three friends for four-player co-op. Teammates can try different load-outs, combine their strengths and overcome the nasty, toothy vampires.

Redfall will launch exclusively on Xbox Series X/S and PC in Summer 2022. You’ll be able to play it on day one on Xbox Game Pass.
