Xbox has announced that its finally opening pre-orders for the Xbox Series X Mini Fridge, the product that started as a meme but became reality when the company beat Skittles in a Twitter poll for ‘best brand’. That’s a real thing that happened:
Thanks to everyone who voted, this was down to the wire and thrilling to follow. Now that @Xbox won, we will move forward on our promise to make those Xbox Series X Mini Fridges. First one off the line will be filled with games & headed to our friends @Skittles of course! ?? https://t.co/xeeN8yLGV8

The Xbox Series X Replica Mini Fridge was created in partnership with Ukonic! and features the iconic Xbox Series X chassis design with LEDs and details to sell the illusion. It’s a two-shelf fridge with enough room to store 10 drink cans and even has a functioning USB charging port.
The mini fridge is set to ship to multiple global regions in December 2021, with pre-orders opening on October 19 for USD $99.99 (around AU $135). Unfortunately, it seems as though Australia was not included in the initial run of locations, with Xbox hoping to expand regional availability in 2022.
