It’s absolutely no secret that with today’s announcement of Xbox acquiring Activision-Blizzard, that Xbox’s juggernaut of studios and franchises has gone to a new level in terms of trying to keep track of the studios and franchise that they own, so we thought we’d take a quick look at not only what was added today, but then also their overall slate of studios that they now have control of.
It’s worth mentioning that whilst Xbox has made its intentions extremely clear in regards to the Activision-Blizzard acquisition, technically it hasn’t gone through legally yet, although we see now reason why it won’t.
Believe it or not, there’s actually more that lay dormant, but we’ve kept this list to the ones that have been active in the last 5-10 years.
With the addition of several new Activision Blizzard studios and a whole bunch of new talent, it takes Xbox’s first party studio line-up to more than 30 studios.
The great Klobrille has also put this into a new graphic to make it super easy, but it’s clearly getting to the point where one graphic isn’t enough.
Without doubt, Xbox now has a killer lineup of studios that are working on existing games and new IP that will hopefully excite and delight for years to come.
