Redfall’s Aussie Unlock Times And PC Requirements Have Been Revealed

Redfall, Arkane Austin’s upcoming vampire-slaying, multiplayer open-world shooter is nearly here, and Arkane has lifted the lid on the exact time on May 2nd that Aussies (and the rest of the world) can get in on the action.

Luckily for us Aussies, it’s not going to be a matter of waiting until late in the evening or early the next morning as the rest of the world catches up to the date at hand. Instead, it looks like Redfall is going to start unlocking on May 1st in some regions, with the local equivalent nutting out to a cruisy 10AM on Tuesday, May 2nd for those of us on AEST time.

You can start pre-loading the game on Xbox and PC now, ready for when it all kicks off. Here’s a breakdown for all of the Aussie timezones:

REDFALL AUSTRALIAN UNLOCK TIMES – Tuesday, May 2nd

  • 10.00 AM AEST (Melbourne/Sydney/Hobart/Canberra/Brisbane)
  • 09.30 AM ACST (Adelaide, Darwin)
  • 08.00 AM AWST (Perth)
  • 12.00 PM NZDT (Wellington)

Arkane has also revealed the game’s system requirements for PC players, which are unsurprisingly asking for some fairly beefy hardware to play the game in its upper configurations. You’ll need an i7-9700K and RTX 3080 or AMD equivalents to hit that Ultra spec, as well as a huge 32GB of RAM and exclusively Windows 11, and even on the low end you’re looking at a baseline 100GB of SSD storage. On Xbox it looks like you’ll be getting away with just a touch over 80GB of storage required.

There’s no mention of target resolutions or framerates for these configurations, which is odd but given the kerfuffle around the Xbox version’s lack of a 60FPS performance mode at launch it’s also not overly surprising.

Redfall arrives exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 2, 2023. Amazon has copies for $94 with free shipping, but the game will also be included with Game Pass subscriptions from day one.
