UPDATE: Xbox has just published an Xbox Wire post about Forza Horizon 6 and confirmed that whilst it will launch first on Xbox Series X|S and PC, Playground Games and Turn 10 are working to bring the game to PS5 post-launch.

The game will offer natural and urban environments across Japan, with Japanese car culture featured and the game will also include cahnging seasons as well with everything from snowy winters to the cherry blossom season included in the game.

Playground Games has today announced the next Forza Horizon game on Instagram. It’s suitably called Forza Horizon 6 and it’s coming in 2026. As rumours have suggested for sometime, the game will be set in Japan.

The caption reads: “The Horizon Festival is heading to Japan. Coming 2026. Wishlist now!”

At the time of writing, no other information about the game is known, but Xbox’s TGS stream is set to take place later tonight, so we’ll hopefully get a bit more information about the game. It’s also unclear if the game will just release on Xbox Series X|S and PC or if it will come to other platforms like PS5 and the Nintendo Switch 2.

We gave Forza Horizon 5 a 9.5/10 in our recent PS5 Pro review and you can read that HERE: “Whilst the PS5 offers a near identical experience to the Xbox Series X, the PS5 Pro is the best console experience available with a performance mode that improves on the quality mode of the base consoles.”
