Microsoft has revealed the first details of Project Helix outside of the fact that it will play both Xbox console and PC games at a GDC talk.

We now know that dev kits will be going out to developers in 2027 and that it will feature next-gen ray-tracing as well as AMD FSR Next which is presumably Xbox and AMD’s answer to PSSR which should allow for decent upscaling.

It was also revealed that Xbox Full Screen mode that rolled out on the Xbox ROG Ally will also be coming to all PCs and simply be called Xbox mode. It’s presumed that this will likely be what launches on Project Helix in what will no doubt be a PC/console hybrid that tries to blend both worlds.
