As posted on X by Xbox enthusiast Klobrille, Halo: Campaign Evolved, the upcoming remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, has been classified by Australia’s Classification Board, suggesting that the game could be nearing release.
Of course, there are several steps in the certification process, with some of them being automatic; however, the remake has been rated MA15+ (which is the second-highest rating that can be applied to video games, with X 18+ being reserved for adult films).
The rating cites “strong themes and violence, online interactivity and chat” as reasons for the rating. It’s worth noting that Halo Infinite received an M.
With rumours circulating online that the game might be reserved for one of Xbox’s famous stealth drops during their June showcase, this is an encouraging step towards Halo: Campaign Evolved’s much-anticipated release.
Despite not being the first re-release of the first Halo title, Halo: Campaign Evolved does mark the first time the series will launch on a PlayStation, with the game confirmed for PlayStation 5.
