EB Games Is Teasing Something BIG Coming To EB World This Week

EB World members might be in for an exciting new era, with EB Games teasing an announcement for this Thursday, August 1st at 9AM AEST.

There’s very little indication of what it could be, other than the retailer saying it’s BIG, and a mysterious “+” symbol on a lot of its messaging, including an email that went out to members this morning that I thought, for a second, was alluding to the second coming of Christ – which would be a big announcement for EB Games to make on a Thursday morning.

The retailer is calling this an “exciting new initiative for EB World customers,” so realistically it seems like EB World members are about to get some new benefits or membership options. Word around the joint suggests that this might be related to a paid membership, a la Amazon Prime, which will certainly be interesting if accurate.

Whatever it is, we’ll be sure to give you an update as soon as we can.

Currently, customers signed up to EB Games’ free EB World membership are grouped into five Levels, with increasing benefits for each tier and customers “levelling up” based on their in-store spend and trade-ins. The fifth and final Level is reserved for the top 9,999 “Carrot” earners within a certain timeframe. Here’s what comes with each Level:
