Since Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 released a year ago, people have been waiting for story DLC, but with today’s announcement that the game is coming to PC, Insomniac also revealed that no story DLC is planned for the game.

“While we have no additional story content planned for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we’re delighted to bring all of our previously released post-launch content to the PC version” confirmed Insomniac.

The main reason why people thought that we’d be getting story DLC is due to the future Insominiac leak which detailed three pieces of story DLC including Maximum Carnage, Birth of Venom and Trail of the Cat. Particularly as the first piece of content was dated for December 2023, which has well and truly passed now.

There’s still a small chance that this is just Insomniac being coy, but it does seem as though it is them pouring water on the rumours, almost confirming that they’re focusing on Wolverine as well as the rumoured standalone Venom game that is on the way.

For now though, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming to PC on January 20th and you can read more about that HERE.
