As part of its latest financial report (including new sales figures on its hardware and software), Nintendo has released an updated schedule for its first-party titles for 2022.
The list isn’t anything surprising by any stretch, with the likes of heavy hitters Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Splatoon 3 having recently received solid release dates, but the inclusion of Pokémon Scarlet/Pokémon Violet and Bayonetta 3 as titles still poised for release this year certainly gives us hope.
While the pairing of brand-new Pokémon games is a pretty safe bet for 2022, there was (and likely still is) a shadow of doubt over the chances of Bayonetta 3 making an appearance, which makes this particular report potentially exciting.
The last we saw of the game was nearly a year ago with a pretty strong gameplay showing during a Nintendo Direct, where it definitely looked like it was coming along nicely.
