It’s been 17 long years since we’ve had a proper Spyro The Dragon game and it’s unlikely that we’ll ever see a new game in the series (no, Skylanders does not count). It worked for Crash, so we’d love to see a proper Spyro The Dragon PS1 remastered collection. Hype has been off the chain for the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and with Spyro The Dragon arguably a much better trilogy, it needs to happen.Everybody remembers PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale, right? Imagine that same roster, transplanted to an epic kart racer! With, Mario Kart being one of the best franchises in gaming and Crash Team Racing demonstrating the potential of Sony’s first-party studios, it just seems right. Forget all the ones that they’ve released in between and let’s just imagine a kart racer, with all of your favourite PlayStation characters, tracks and items. It’s a beautiful thought, and one that we hope comes true. After three inFAMOUS games and a standalone expansion, some may believe the inFAMOUS series is done, but we still hope there’s more super-stories to be told. At the very least, we think it’s time for Sucker Punch to reveal what they’ve been working on for the past few years. In all likelihood, it isn’t inFAMOUS 3, but we’re hoping that Sony have hand-balled it off to another franchise.Last year, Insomniac released a re-imagining of the original Ratchet and Clank game and it was absolutely brilliant. We want to see Ratchet and Clank 2 and 3 given the same treatment complete, with the addition of 64 player multiple for Ratchet 3. Remember that game mode where you’d capture checkpoints and then infiltrate your enemies’ base? We all played and loved that right…? In all seriousness though Insomniac, we’re sure you’re already way too busy with Spider-Man.Can you believe it’s been over ten years since we last saw a Syphon Filter game?! It’s one of the franchises that PlayStation gamers were playing in the early PlayStation games; it’s time for a comeback. PlayStation Bend, who were previously responsible for the Syphon Filter franchise went on to making portable PlayStation games and is now working on Days Gone, so it’d probably be up to another studio to resurrect the franchise.Without doubt, this has to be one of the most obvious inclusions to this list. Ape Escape is one of PlayStation’s greatest franchises. It was one of the first games to utilise the famous DualShock controller and the series went on to have a multitude of titles across the PS1, PS2, PSP and PlayStation Move and then absolutely nothing. Nothing! What are you doing to us Sony? Why are you depriving us of the cheeky monkeys that we all crave? C’mon, give us a brand new one!Crack open the history books, this is another one that PlayStation gamers will remember from their earlier days: MediEvil, starring one Sir Daniel Fortesque. It had a sequel (which wasn’t as good sadly) and the original re-released on PSP, but coming up to the 20th anniversary of the series, surely it’s time to remaster the original game or just bring back Mr Fortesque in a brand new adventure?Sure, it’s not a game, but we’re going out on a limb. Vita means ‘life’ and we don’t want to see PlayStation give up the portable fight. The Vita was a brilliant portable console (with some obvious shortcomings) but may have been before its time. Now is the time to follow up with the Vita 2, that is capable of somehow playing your PS4 games on the go. It’s something we crave and PlayStation is the company that can make it happen.
