Nintendo unleashed the first Nintendo Direct in nearly six months. It had some solid first and third party announcements which are highlighted below.
NEW FIRST-PARTY GAME ANNOUNCEMENTS
Super Mario Maker is coming in June 2019 with a bunch of new courses and features
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is coming in 2019. It’s a Gameboy classic remade from the ground up with new graphics.
Astral Chain is coming in August 2019. It’s an action game being developed by Platinum Games and focuses on team combat.
Boxboy + Boxgirl is a new puzzler releasing on April 26th with 270 brand new levels.
Tetris 99 is a new battle royale game that’s available for free today for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
NEW DLC ANNOUNCEMENTS
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is getting a new update today with a new two player co-op mode that lets another player play as a second Toad. There’s also paid DLC coming on March 14th that adds 18 new challenges and five new courses to the game.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate is getting a 3.0.0 update that will bring Joker from Persona 5 as a playable fighter as well as additional stages and music
Starlink: Battle for Atlas is getting an update in April where new Star Fox missions will come to the Nintendo Switch version of the day. It’ll bring starship races and new faction missions.

Yoshi’s Crafted World got a brand new demo that is being released today.
Daemon X Machina is launching on Nintendo Switch this Winter, but a free demo is available right now.

Assassin’s Creed Remastered and Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered will release on May 21st
