Just like in Breath of the Wild, using amiibo figurines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can net you some great unique gear and helpful items. Like before, you’re also at the mercy of luck in what you get as a drop from each figure and you’re only allowed to scan each of them once per day.
Luckily, the same tricks that worked in the previous title still work here, to allow you to game the system a little and get exactly what it is that you want.

You’ll get access to the ability needed to scan and use amiibo figures quite early on during the first set of main quests, after Link is given the Purah Tablet. From then on, you can pull it up in the ability wheel to start scanning away. Here’s how to get around those pesky restrictions and quickly obtain everything you can:
THE “SAVE” TRICK
Go to an open field or village and save just before using your Amiibo. Use your Amiibo and if you get what you’re after, awesome.
If not, you can reload a save after opening the chest and before the notification disappears reload your save in order to try again. Obviously, if you get what you’re after, you’ve used your Amiibo for the day, but if not, you’re able to do this as many times as you need in order to get what you need.
THE “FAST FORWARD” TRICK
With this, it’s simple. If you fast-forward your Nintendo Switch clock, you’re able to use the Amiibo straight away, again. Obviously, this one takes a little bit of work but if you’re wanting to kill a few hours and get absolutely everything, use your Amiibo, fast-forward your Nintendo Switch clock and then scan again.
You’ll need to disconnect your Nintendo Switch from the internet in order for this to successfully work.
