Reports have confirmed that producer Hideo Kojima has officially left Konami as an employee on December 15th, 2015. An article from Japanese website Nikkei confirmed the news earlier as the report detailed Kojima’s departure and what is next step in the industry will be.
The report has also stated that Kojima is currently working on setting up a new studio on his own, which will developed titles on its own. The translation of the article (many thanks to Lifelower for the translation) details that he would currently be in negotiations with Sony Computer Entertainment to publish their first game, which would appear on PlayStation® platforms. Hideo Kojima and Sony Computer Entertainment have yet to address these reports.
Kojima has been well-known for directing multiple AAA franchises such as Metal Gear, Zone of the Enders and the recently cancelled Silent Hills, which was set to be produced in collaboration with Guillermo Del Toro. Konami will continue to produce Metal Gear and Silent Hill titles, albeit without the involvement of Kojima and Kojima Productions, which had been disbanded earlier this year with the termination of Hideo and their development team.
As of yet, there aren’t many details about Kojima’s new studio and their negotations with Sony, but we expect to gather more information in the near future.

Honestly, it's pretty disgusting that Konami will continue the Metal Gear series without Kojima. Those titles just won't be the same without him.
I really hope he continues the story from an alternate part of the Metal Gear universe, maybe Quiet in the events after V, or Ocelot before V. There's so much to that universe that can be told without Snake.
Kojima and his fans are so wahjah.
Now all konami needs to do is sell their games rights and no one needs to care about them anymore
