Game Awards 2016

Pokémon Uranium and AM2R Removed From Game Awards “Best Game Creation” Category

Nintendo have been incredibly strict on their licensing in recent years when it comes to fan creations, having Pokémon Uranium and Project AM2R both taken down this year alone. And it doesn’t look like Nintendo are becoming lenient anytime soon, as now both fan creations have been removed from the Game Awards 2016 “Best Fan Creation” category, on the Game awards website.

Neogaf user ‘dancrane212’ noticed the removal from the Game Awards site, and the reaction by fellow users is a familiar response, of disappointment and acceptance, as this is now the norm for Nintendo.

On the other end of the spectrum, we have id Software congratulating Brutal doom 64 on being nominated for the 2016 game awards.

You could learn a thing or two from your fellow publishers Nintendo.
