Splatoon 2, the eagerly-awaited sequel to the Wii U smash hit game, finally has a release date.
Announced alongside a new game mode and some pretty cool Amiibo, Splatoon 2 will be releasing worldwide on July 21 on the Nintendo Switch; where players can jump right back into the action of all-out paint splashing warfare. The game comes with the all-new mode titled ‘Salmon Run’, in which Inklings collect Power Eggs and battle against zombie-like salmon monsters.
Also releasing on the same day are three new Amiibo for the game; Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy and the Inkling Squid. These are updated versions of the original Splatoon Amiibo for the sequel and allow players to befriend them and save custom outfits and loadouts for battles on the go. Keep an eye out for them when the game hits on July 21!
