You’d have to be living under a rock to not know that Game of Thrones Season 7 premiered worldwide today.
Foxtel were taking advantage of the brand new season of the popular series to promote their newly relaunched streaming service, Foxtel Now, but they’ve failed to keep up with the demand with the service crashing at the first major hurdle.
Naturally, Game of Throne fans are absolutely fuming with many signing up to the service just to watch the program.

Fail @Foxtel. Epic fail. The one night #foxtelnow had to work. Be scared of Amazon, they have the dragons, Foxtel has rocks. pic.twitter.com/Kvf5Cwbvo4

Well we got 45 minutes of GOT before #foxtelnow went down. Will take them years to recover from this debacle. Back to #Netflix

We are devastated that due to unprecedented demand, we are experiencing problems with our online services this evening. Obviously this comes at a time when so many of our customers are wanting to watch the first episode of season 7 of Game of Thrones.
We can assure you that we are doing everything we can to resolve these problems.
We can also assure customers that as soon as the issue is resolved they will be able to watch the episode using the On Demand features of our service.

Again Foxtel apologises for the frustration this situation has caused.
