Easily avoided with a VPN or proxy. However as with all piracy it is a symptom of a problem, not the problem itself. If you want to stop piracy then provide better service and access to media. So long as foxtel exists they will hold a monopoly on streaming tv, with overpriced subscriptions and ad saturated streams at low resolution and low bandwidth. Since there is essentially no competition, our ISPs and tv providers can get away with charging us for services that run at a tenth of the speed that they do in the US. And piracy will continue.
The Australian government don't seem to understand the concept of a VPN or mirror servers.
