More Pirating Sites Were Just Blocked In Australia

Foxtel has struck again as a request was made today for Australian ISPs to block 127 more domain names under the piracy act.

The Federal Court has directed Optus, Telstra and TPG/iiNet to block popular Piracy sites such as Cartoon HD, Putlocker, ProjectFreeTV will now be blocked in an effort to stamp out Piracy websites.

Some of the websites that have been blocked include:

  • Yes Movies
  • Vumoo
  • Los Movies
  • Cartoon HD
  • Putlocker
  • Watch Series 1
  • Project – Free TV
  • ProjectFreeTV
  • Watch Episodes
  • Watch TV Series
  • The Dare TV
  • 1337x
  • Torlock

This isn’t the first time that Foxtel has put into motion for Piracy websites to be blocked and it most certainly won’t be the last in an effort to make sure that people who pirate TV Shows and Movies are made accountable.

  1. Easily avoided with a VPN or proxy. However as with all piracy it is a symptom of a problem, not the problem itself. If you want to stop piracy then provide better service and access to media. So long as foxtel exists they will hold a monopoly on streaming tv, with overpriced subscriptions and ad saturated streams at low resolution and low bandwidth. Since there is essentially no competition, our ISPs and tv providers can get away with charging us for services that run at a tenth of the speed that they do in the US. And piracy will continue.
