No More Guided Missiles for Fortnite

The recently added guided missile has apparently proved more troublesome that it’s worth for the phenomenally popular Fornite Battle Royale. The weapon, originally designed to cause targeted destruction, seems to be more popular for sky surfing and saving teammates and while this makes for some pretty incredible clips, sadly, it just wasn’t what Epic intended. It’s for this reason, as well as an animation issue introduced in the latest patch, that the guided missile will be temporarily removed from the game while Epic works on some revisions to its design. The developer had this to say about it:

“We’ve gotten a lot of feedback around the Guided Missile, in particular concerns over fairness and strength of the weapon. We share your concerns, so we’ve put the Guided Missile into the vault while we figure out the next steps for its future.”

There are a few other updates and fixes mentioned in the Reddit post from the official Epic Games account, including unique weapon equip times, you can read them all right here.
