Zombies Mode In Black Ops 4 Sounds Bigger And Better Than Ever

Though Treyarch has axed the story mode from the upcoming Black Ops 4, they’re not about to let the new Blackout battle royale mode shoulder the whole burden as they’re looking to serve up the biggest and best Zombies mode yet.

It features three maps and a time-hopping story that takes the player-characters to a number of historical events and settings to put an end to a nasty cult.

The three maps included are Nine, Voyage of Despair and Blood of the Dead.

Nine takes place in Ancient Rome after a magical device has rendered the city’s slaves zombified while Voyage of Despair takes place aboard the Titanic, the ship whose fate we’re all too familiar with. Blood of the Dead, on the other hand, is a remastered version of Mob of the Dead, a fan favourite map from Black Ops 2.

The new Zombies mode appears as though it’ll let players tweak the game to their liking with inclusions like customisable tools and social systems, as well as custom mutations which allow gamers to “change the fundamental rules and systems of the gameplay experience.”

Treyarch is also finally catering to solo Zombies players with the inclusion of bot support.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases on October 12 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
