Final Fantasy XIV Is Getting A Whole Line Of Puma Sneakers And Clothing

Puma, Pumara, Pumaga

Puma, ever our source of fancy gaming-sneaker collaborations, is at it once again with a new line of sneaker designs as well as a range of clothing and accessories based on the global hit MMO, Final Fantasy XIV.

The sneakers were first revealed by Japanese website SneakerWars and feature four distinct designs on two different sneaker silhouettes with both the Puma Slipstream and RS-X getting “light” and “dark” designs, featuring various motifs from the game including lace charms and Fat Cat artwork on the tongues and insoles. You can see some of the images below:

In the days since, Puma and Final Fantasy XIV have also confirmed that an entire line of Final Fantasy XIV-themed products will be launching globally, with select regions launching on March 15th and the US getting them on or around March 25th. The line includes shirts, pants, caps, bags, hoodies and more. You can view them on the Puma US website here.

So far, we haven’t seen confirmation on if or when these will come to Australia, but on checking the local Puma website there is a “Final Fantasy” category that comes up in search – it’s just empty right now.

In other Final Fantasy-related news, we recently visited the Square Enix office in Tokyo to play over two hours of the upcoming new mainline series entry, Final Fantasy XVI. We came away incredibly impressed, saying “Regardless of the session having a more narrowed focus on combat and Eikonic battles, the two-and-a-bit hours I spent immersing myself in Final Fantasy XVI has painted a reassuringly positive picture. It’s been in good enough hands this whole time that I’ve always felt rather confident in the game to really bring the single-player Final Fantasy experience back into good stead, but knowing what I now know and playing what I played I’m almost certain that this will be the Final Fantasy to truly wow the world once again.
