Here’s An Exclusive Magic: The Gathering March Of The Machine Card Preview

We've got an exclusive early look at one of the set's new cards!

The next big Magic: The Gathering set, March of the Machine, is dropping soon on April 21st and we’re lucky enough to have a global exclusive card reveal from the set.

March of the Machine is set to be the dramatic conclusion of the four-part Phyrexian story arc that was kicked off by Dominaria United and continued on with The Brothers’ War and Phyrexia: All Will Be One. It will see characters from across the planes of the MtG multiverse come together to end the reign of terror brought about by Elesh Norn and her Machine Legion.

Without further ado though, let’s take a look at the exclusive reveal of one of the brand-new cards in MtG’s March of the Machine set. Here’s the double-faced card, Awakened Skyclave/Invasion of Zendikar:

Now, as you may have noticed, this is one of March of the Machine’s new Battle type cards, one of which will be included in each Set Booster and Draft Booster in the new set.

The front face of the card, Invasion of Zendikar, costs 3{G} and allows the player to search their library for up to two basic lands and play them tapped, after it enters the battlefield.

Representing the new Battle type, it also carries the Siege mechanic which asks players to choose an opponent to protect the card, allowing the controlling player and any others to attack it. Once it’s defeated, it’s exiled and then re-cast as its transformed side.

On the transformed side, the card is Awakened Skyclave, a 4/4 Creature – Elemental card with Vigilance and Haste than also acts as a land card and can be tapped to add one mana of any colour.

All told, it seems like quite the handy card with some fantastic art depicting scenes of some of the exciting conflict in March of the Machine. You can learn more about the new set on the official Magic the Gathering website here.
