The Sold-Out Diablo IV Collector’s Edition Has Already Been Unboxed Online

Some decent loot.

Diablo IV might still be more than a month away from its June 6th release date, but an unboxing of its limited Collector’s Edition, which sold out in local retailers, has already made its way to the internet via prominent Diablo content creators.

For $166 the Diablo IV Collector’s Edition didn’t include the game itself, but it did have the following:

  • Candle of Creation – Feel both the Light’s blessing and Evil’s embrace with this two-sided electric candle*.
  • Occult Mouse Pad – Sanctify your space with this premium mouse pad.
  • Cloth Map of Sanctuary – Unfurl this scroll to behold the lands before you where Lilith’s grasp has taken hold.
  • Pin of the Horadrim – Proudly display this vestige of the ancient Brotherhood.
  • Diablo IV Collector’s Edition Art Book – Immerse yourself in over 300 pages of the frighteningly beautiful artwork that created the world of Sanctuary and its heroes.
  • Art Prints (x2) – Relish in the glory of these fine art portraits.

There are a few of these unboxings live now, but you can see one of them (from “wudijo”) below, showing off the huge, 300-page art book, impressive electric candle, map, mouse pad and more all contained in a surprisingly big box.

Should you watch it and decide you absolutely must have this edition, you can technically still pre-order it from the Blizzard UK online store, but you’ll be paying a fortune in conversion and shipping for a total of around $258.

Diablo IV’s got one more playtest up its sleeve before launch. Dubbed the “Server Slam” weekend, this playtest will be open to absolutely everybody on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC and will run from May 13th at 5AM AEST until May 15th at 5AM AEST.

The Server Slam weekend will allow players to explore the entirety of Fractured Peaks through the prologue and Act 1 of the game, with a level cap of 20 – a similar setup to the previous open and closed betas including world events, dungeons and the world boss, Ashava, to contend with. Player progress from the prior betas won’t carry over, however participants have the chance to unlock more rewards for the full game by hitting certain milestones:

  • The Initial Casualty title is earned by reaching Kyovashad with one character
  • The Early Voyager title is earned by reaching Level 20 on one character
  • The Beta Wolf Pack Cosmetic is earned by reaching Level 20 with one character
  • The new reward, the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy is earned by defeating Ashava with one Level 20 character

Diablo IV launches on June 6, 2023, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Amazon currently has the cheapest pre-order at $79 with free shipping.
