The PlayStation Portal Is Getting Cloud Game Streaming Today (But Not In Australia)

FINALLY!

It’s been a feature that’s been requested ever since the PlayStation Portal was announced and PlayStation has confirmed that it’s coming today.

In a new update that is launching today, the PlayStation Portal will be able to stream over 120 PS5 games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog directly from PlayStation servers rather than remote play from your console.

This will be available to PlayStation Plus Premium members and available in the below countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States.

This is launching in beta and will only be available with PS5 games including the below to begin with:  Dave the Diver, Ghost of Tsushima, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Monster Hunter Rise, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

You’ll be able to stream games at 1080p/60FPS and take advantages of all of the same control options of the DualSense controller whilst cloud streaming.

The update will also bring the ability to make the speaker volume even lower than previously available as well as the ability to adjust settings for your PlayStation Link devices such as volume and sidetone volume.
