AMAZON CYBER MONDAY

Amazon Prime Is Getting A Price Increase But There’s Still Time To Grab A Cheaper Yearly Subscription

It's prime time to get that annual sub!

Amazon has revealed that its Amazon Prime subscription will be getting a price increase in Australia this month.

The all-encompassing service has been of fairly significant value so far, giving subscribers access to exclusive offers on Amazon’s online store, free fast national delivery and free international delivery, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music and Amazon Prime Reading access and more for only $6.99 a month. It’s particularly good value for gamers, who get all of that plus free PC games updated every week, free content for existing games and Twitch benefits like bonus subscriptions and exclusive badges and emotes.

Now, the cost of a monthly subscription will be going up slightly, to a still-very-palatable $9.99 per month, or $79 for a cheaper annual subscription. The changes come into effect as of May 24th for new customers, or starting June 28th for existing subscribers (applying to the first new payment in their subscription cycle after the June 28th cut-off).

Amazon themselves have pointed out that this means there’s still time to jump on the annual Amazon Prime subscription at its current price of $59, meaning you won’t be subject to the price increase for at least another year. You can take a look at all the benefits and sign up, or upgrade to an annual subscription, right here.
