With just over three weeks until launch, Ubisoft has revealed that its upcoming first-person open world action adventure based on the James Cameron franchise, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, has officially gone “gold” – meaning the game is feature and content complete, ready to press to discs and send to digital storefront servers around the world.

The game launches this December 7th, and will see players take on the role of a Na’vi while they explore the lush world of Pandora, interacting with other Na’vi, humans and native flora and fauna on an all-new continent while fighting back natural and man-made dangers.

We recently had the chance to go hands-on with a big chunk of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and came way optimistic that it’ll retain the same sense of wonder that had moviegoers flocking to cinemas with each of the films released so far.
Ubisoft also dropped a shiny new trailer for the game on PlayStation 5 where it highlights a number of immersive features the game will have on Sony’s console, including raytracing, 3D audio, DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
