ReachOut, Level Up Is A New Charity Streaming Event For Youth Mental Health Support

Coming in August!

ReachOut Australia, the charity seeking to support the mental health and wellbeing of young Aussies through free online services, online communities and youth-focused initiatives, has announced its first streaming event to raise funds for its ongoing work.

Dubbed ReachOut, Level Up, the event is taking place between August 25th and 31st and will bring together a cohort of Aussie streamers and ambassadors to bring awareness to these crucial programs as well as raise money to keep them going for the 40% of young people in the nation that face mental health challenges.

Over the course of the week, those involved will be streaming their unique content, whether it’s gameplay, IRL hobbies, tutorials or just chat. ReachOut has partnered with Twitch for the event, and although throwing your support behind a worthy cause is always reward enough, there will also be some fun extra rewards up for grabs.

“We recognise that after friends and family, the internet is often the first place young people turn to for support when experiencing mental health difficulties. We know that a large portion of young people are both online and gaming, so we are excited to launch this fundraiser to build awareness of ReachOut’s services and connect with these young gamers where they are,” writes Tracey Campbell, Director of Marketing and Fundraising at ReachOut, in an accompanying press release. “By partnering with Twitch streamers, we aim to create awareness among their audiences that there is a safe space available if they’re going through tough times or looking for that extra support.”

ReachOut, Level Up 2024 has set its sights on raising at least $50,000 AUD, and you can find out more about donating to the event or participating in it yourself via the Tiltify page right here.
