The next mainline game in the much-loved Life is Stranger series, titled Double Exposure, is set to launch on October 29th and will see the return of the original game’s Max Caulfield as the playable protagonist.
In the lead-up to launch, Square Enix has revealed one of the bonus outfit packs for Max that will be included in the game’s Ultimate Edition and it’s an exciting one for the crossover of Life is Strange and Final Fantasy fans out there (it’s me).
The Final Fantasy VII Outfit Pack for Life is Strang: Double Exposure features five looks for Max, including the main article of a Moogle coat with matching beanie, plus four other ‘fits based on Chocobo, Cactuar, Bomb, and Tonberry.
The Final Fantasy VII Outfit Pack is just one of five that comes with the Ultimate Edition of Life is Strange: Double Exposure, and those who pre-order it will also get some “exclusive cat content” as well as a whole two weeks early access to the first two chapters of the game.

It bears mentioning that Deck Nine is one of many studios that’s laid off big portions of their staff in recent months and years, with a 20% overall reduction back in February, so while it’s unclear how much that’s affected the Life is Strange team in particular there’s still a bittersweet element to this otherwise-exciting news for fans. At the time, a game director at Deck Nine, Stephen Ford, admitted that leadership had also taken pay cuts in an effort to reduce how many staff were let go and said that the studio was “the strongest it had ever been.”
Life is Strange: Double Exposure launches October 29th for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a Switch version coming at a later date.
