Grand Theft Auto 6’s Physical Editions Won’t Include A Disc

As news rolls out about Grand Theft Auto 6’s pre-order timings, it has seemingly been confirmed that the physical copies of the game won’t include a disc, opting for a pack-in code instead.

Given how protective Rockstar is of how their releases are handled, and with several data breaches and leaks in their rearview, it’s probably not surprising they’d opt for an extra layer of security to keep the game from falling into players’ hands early.

Those who order the digital version will be able to begin pre-loading the game on November 12 to ensure they’re ready for the game’s release on November 19.

The physical copy, with the code in the box, will be available on shelves on November 12. This would, similarly, allow physical purchasers to pick it up and get it pre-installed, ready for when the game goes live.
