Last week, Wicked Witch finally confirmed that AFL Evolution 2 is coming out on April 23rd. Well now, they’ve confirmed that AFL Evolution 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch.
This marks the first time in years and years that an AFL game will make it onto a Nintendo console, and subsequently is the first time in ages that an AFL game will be available on the go. The game doesn’t have a release date on Nintendo Switch and as far as we know, it won’t be on the same day as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Carlton co-captain Patrick Cripps will be the cover star of the game. Unlike the last game, AFL Evolution 2 will be powered by the Unreal Engine and include enhanced graphics and new multiplayer modes. We haven’t seen any gameplay footage as of yet, but it can’t be too far away. The game will include the VFL, SANFL, WAFL, NEAFL and Nab League competitions. It’ll include commentary by Garry Lyon and Anthony Hudson. The venue limit is now increased to 16 venues including Jiangwan Stadium in China, TIO Traeger Park in Alice Springs, Ballarat’s MARS Stadium, Hobart’s Blundstone Arena.
