This feels like one of the longest running rumours in gaming.
A Swedish retailer by the name of ‘Inet’ has listed Metroid Prime Trilogy for Nintendo Switch with a release date of June 19th. Interestingly enough, this is the retailer that originally listed the game years ago. There’s been other whispers from insiders about the game for years, and it’s obviously likely that the Trilogy could have been pushed back when Metroid Prime 4 development essentially restarted.
It’s a bit of a no-brainer that Metroid Prime Trilogy would come to Nintendo Switch with Metroid Prime 4 on the way, but June 19th does feel a little bit soon. Then again, Nintendo is just dropping game announcements out of nowhere at the moment, like we saw with Paper Mario earlier this month.
