Gameplay Footage Of The Cancelled Goldeneye 007 Remaster Has Leaked

It’s was well known that Rare was working on an Xbox Live Arcade remake of their classic Nintendo 64 game GoldenEye 007 to celebrate the 10th anniversary. The game was eventually cancelled due to problems with the various license holders of the Bond rights.

A full two hour playthrough of the remaster has now leaked onto YouTube showcasing the game with 4K/60 FPS graphics. The video shows off the single player campaign as well as a variety of multiplayer maps, with both looking much cleaner than they did originally.

The remaster was set to bring new textures, a better frame rate and online multiplayer, but it was not to be eventually being cancelled.

It’s unclear where the video has come from, but the video maker claims that the game will be released this year. Obviously, it’s unlikely that it’ll see an official release, but once the rom is out there, there’s no telling how far it could go.

We’ll keep you posted if anything else eventuates from this.
