Following this week’s announcement that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is moving from September to July, Nintendo has now revealed that Splatoon 3 will release on September 9th for Nintendo Switch.
Alongside the release date announcement, Nintendo also revealed a four minute gameplay trailer showing off the first Turf War gameplay. It’s familiar to what we know Splatoon to be with a few new twists. We know that Splatoon 3 will have a new story mode, an improved version of Salmon Run and obviously Turf Wars.
The cheapest copy of Splatoon 3 is currently $69 on Amazon with free shipping.
In addition to this announcement, Nintendo announced that Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can now access the Splatoon 2 Octo DLC which unlocks 80 new missions.
