Nintendo’s Latest Earnings Report Shows Massive Sales For Pokémon Legends: Arceus And Kirby And The Forgotten Land

And the Switch is still moving crazy units

Nintendo has released its newest earnings review for Q1 2022, including updated sales figures for its Switch hardware and first-party published software.

Unsurprisingly, Nintendo products are still flying off of store shelves, but with this newest report we at least get a look into some of its recently-released software titles to see how they’ve performed overall.

Of particular note are the company’s two key releases for the quarter, Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Predictably, Arceus shifted huge units with a massive 12.64 million copies between launch on January 28, 2022 and March 31. That puts it right up there with Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl which had a head start in November ’21 and has racked up 14.65 million sales since.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land, a fantastic game but arguably in the B-tier of Nintendo mascot platformers, managed to pull together a whopping 2.65 million sales in just one week between launch on March 25 and the end of reporting on March 31. An absolute monster effort from the little pink king.
