The Final Super Mario Bros. Movie Trailer Is Short But Sweet

It's nearly here!

As promised, Nintendo dropped the “final” major trailer for the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie today in a special Direct presentation celebrating “MAR10 Day.”

Introduced by Shigeru Miyamoto, Chris Meladandri and a few of the cast, the one-and-a-half-minute trailer gives us another exciting look at the film, which has just wrapped post-production. The trailer itself was a fairly brief look at the movie, but was packed with Mario references and classic locales (including Super Mario Odyssey’s Sand Kingdom!) as usual, confirmed the inclusion of Lumas, showed us Donkey Kong with a Fire Flower power-up and took us back to its gorgeous rendition of Rainbow Road.

The premiere of The Super Mario Bros. Movie was recently brought forward very slightly (after having suffered delays) to a date of April 5th, which Universal Pictures has confirmed will also be the premiere date for Aussie cinema-goers.

As previously announced, the film is being produced in collaboration between Shigeru Miyamoto/Nintendo and Chris Meledandri/Illumination and will feature a star-studded cast including Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, Charlie Day, Seth Rogen, Keegan-Michael Key and Charles Martinet.
