Update: Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed is out now! You can head to the below to grab the game’s Expansion Pass which includes the new story content as well as the three previous waves of additional content, or the game and Expansion Pass in a bundle:
Nintendo and Monolith Soft have announced the release date for Future Redeemed, the 4th wave of content in Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Expansion Pass and the game’s big story expansion – and it’s not far off.
Future Redeemed will launch next week on April 25th, exclusively for those who’ve bought the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass.
“Set before the events of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 game, players join a cast of new and familiar characters in an original story scenario that connects all three installments in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. Future Redeemed also features new battle mechanics, such as Unity Combo, where two characters can attack in unison.”
A teaser trailer for the new content has been released which, among others things, gives us a good look at Shulk’s hair situation. Judge it for yourself:
On top of this, it’s been revealed that new Amiibo figures are on the way as well. First up, a double pack of the Pyra and Mythra figures for Super Smash Bros. is coming on July 21st. These will obviously work for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate but will also unlock unique Aegis Sword weapon skins in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The double pack costs $44.95 and you can already pre-order it at EB Games here as well as the My Nintendo Store here.
Nintendo also announced that it’s working on Amiibo for Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s Noah and Mio, though it hasn’t revealed what they’ll look like, what their function will be in-game or when they’ll be released.

In our original review of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, we said, “Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is another great entry in the long-running series. Combat is complex, but well enough explained to readily understand and feels fantastic to play with. It has interesting characters, an intriguing world and an engrossing storyline that had me always wondering what was going to happen next. Whether you’re new to the series or a veteran, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is stylish, intriguing, super fun, and well worth checking out for RPG fans.”
