The Wonder Woman Game Is Being Developed With Support From The Gotham Knights Studio

It looks as though WB Games Montréal, the studio behind 2022’s Gotham Knights and 2013’s Batman: Arkham Origins, is playing a key support role in the development of Warner Bros. upcoming AAA Wonder Woman game, which was announced back in 2021.

That’s according to a job listing on the studio’s website, which asks for an External Development Artist and specifically calls out Wonder Woman as a project that the role will touch.

The job ad, which was picked up by Tech 4 Gamers, reads, “In this role you first mandate amongst us will be to work closely with our team and support the Monolith Productions team on their announced Wonder Woman game!” before describing more specifically the responsibilities of the role.

Monolith Productions is, of course, the primary developer behind the upcoming Wonder Woman game of which we still know very little. The studio’s previous titles include the well-received Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, the first two F.E.A.R. games and the Condemned games.

Warner Bros. recently shut down rumours that Wonder Woman would be a live-service game, a natural point of concern given the company’s continued push in that space (even more recently despite the lack of success found in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League).

“Wonder Woman is a single-player action-adventure game set in a dynamic open-world,” it told outlets at the time. “This third person experience will allow players to become Diana of Themyscira and introduce an original story set in the DC Universe, while also featuring the Nemesis System. Wonder Woman is not being designed as a live service.”
