Nintendo’s set to have a massive presence at this year’s PAX Aus expo, and while we already knew it was going to feature a playable demo of the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder ahead of release at PAX Aus 2023, we now have a better idea of its plans for the show floor – including a few more playable pre-release goodies.
One of the more exciting reveals is that PAX attendees will be able to get their hands on Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown at the Nintendo booth, well before its release next year. There will also be hands-on opportunities for Star Ocean: The Second Story R, and Detective Pikachu Returns – which will have just released on the first day of PAX Aus, Friday October 6th.
For anyone who didn’t get to play Hollow Knight: Silksong at the Nintendo PAX Aus Booth in 2019, it’s looks to be sadly missing again this year…
Here’s (some of) what you’ll be able to play this year:
Nintendo PAX Aus 2023 Booth – Playable Titles
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask
- Detective Pikachu Returns
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- Pikmin 4
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
- STAR OCEAN THE SECOND STORY R
- Sonic Superstars
The Nintendo Stand will also include a My Nintendo Store for visitors to purchase Nintendo products and merch including the Nintendo Switch – OLED Model Mario Red Edition and Detective Pikachu Returns. My Nintendo members will be able to check in at the stand for a Super Mario Bros. 8-Bit Mario pin and the general public can also earn an exclusive Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero pin set and Detective Pikachu Returns visor.
