Atari and Digital Eclipse have announced their plans to remaster and repackage several classic Toy Story video games, beginning with the earliest Super Nintendo titles and running through to 2010’s Toy Story 3.
Toy Story: Retro Roundup and Toy Story 3 Complete Edition are both set to be released on October 15 on all consoles in both digital and physical twin-packs; however, there’ll be no physical editions on Xbox.
The Retro Roundup includes a nostalgic collection of classic games originally released on legacy platforms such as PlayStation and Game Boy. The games are:
And most peculiar is the decision to include another game as a bonus treat.
In addition to enhanced visuals, the games will include all of the standard rewind mechanics, save states, and, of course, the option to swap between updated and original visuals.
Toy Story 3 Complete Edition is being billed as a “modern remaster” of the title, meaning it’ll boast better visuals, higher resolutions, and higher frame rates. It’ll also include additional content that was previously exclusive to the game’s PlayStation 3 release.
