Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Is Being Rebuilt For The Quest 2

It was announced early this morning at Connect 2021 that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be coming to VR via the Quest 2.

Details about the game itself, which is also coming to non-VR platforms in the remastered Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, are thin on the ground but the Oculus blog post suggests it’s been years in the making already.

During Connect, Meta (formerly known as Facebook) CEO Mark Zuckerberg describes the Oculus 2 version of the game as “Offering players an entirely new way to experience the iconic open world in virtual reality.”

If the recent Resident Evil 4 VR is anything to go by, we can probably expect San Andreas to be heavily reworked to fit the format, so it’ll be exciting to see where this goes.
