Announced this morning, CD Projekt RED announced that a game within The Witcher universe is currently under development and that the project would kick off a “new saga” for the franchise.
The development of the new title sees the developer move away from their in-house engine REDengine and instead adopt Unreal Engine 5 in a new multi-year partnership with Epic Games. REDengine, however, is still being utilised to develop the upcoming expansion for Cyberpunk 2077.

As it stands, no other details about the new game in The Witcher universe, especially regarding its development road map or release window, are available.
