Habbo Hotel: Origins Is Bringing The 2005 Experience Back This Week

Adults only, though.

Good news for those of us who are old enough now (and were young enough in 2005) to remember logging on to the family computer, often at the expense of anyone using the landline phone, to hang out with friends in Habbo Hotel – that original experience is coming back. Like, within the next 24 hours.

Habbo Hotel: Origins is a “lovingly restored” release of one of the oldest versions of the game circa 2005, supposedly found on a server somewhere collecting dust with a lot of long-lost files still on it.

The classic experience will be available right from the Habbo Hotel: Origins website in a browser, and with three different hotels in different languages (English, Portuguese, and Spanish). The Origins version of Habbo Hotel will also be less moderated than the current one, and restricted to users 18+, which you’d expect will cover anyone who genuinely frequented the hotel in 2005. Avatar names will be available on a first come, first served basis.

There’ll be a “community-led” focus for Habbo Hotel: Origins, where players will be able to discuss and influence decision making around the future of the game at the InfoBus Park in the game.

There’s also an FAQ page available here with even more info on this release, or below:
