Look Outside Is Devolver Digital’s New Horror Game And It’s Out Now

Don't look outside, whatever you do.

Launching overnight to everybody’s surprise on Steam, Look Outside is a brand new survival-horror indie joint from both Devolver Digital and Francis Coulombe.

The game, which began as a game jam developed by Coulombe, a Canadian pixel art and developer, before spiraling out of control, is set entirely within an apartment building that’s effectively on lockdown due to something going on outside. Coulombe’s previous work, as an artist, includes Katana Zero which, for me, is extremely exciting.

In a Bird Box-like set-up, any resident who peeks out their window is transformed into something truly terrible. So in the words of Paul Anka from The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror VI: “Just don’t look!”

The aim throughout the game, which boasts multiple endings, is to survive and align with whichever of your neighbours haven’t gone mad in an attempt to outlast whatever strange things are happening outside.

As mentioned, the game is now available on Steam.
