It definitely appears as if developer NetherRealm is preparing for a big announcement regarding the upcoming DC Universe fueled fighting game Injustice 2. From his official Twitter account, director of the game Ed Boon posted this:

and then this, only a few hours later:

Both posts heavily suggest that we should expect to see something new and exciting on May 5 at 11 pm AEST. Earlier in the week, Boon took to Twitter to let fans of the franchise know that information regarding DLC was on its way “For those wondering or asking… Injustice 2 DLC info coming soon. We suspect you will like what you hear!” he wrote. In addition to this, Boon hosted a Twitter poll, asking his followers to vote on whether they’d like to see missing fighters from Injustice 1 included in the sequel or whether they’d like to see an entirely new line-up of fighters. Ultimately 52% of voters opted for all new fighters to be included in Injustice 2’s DLC.
Injustice 2 will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 on May 17, 2016, for RRP$99.95, you can watch the announcement trailer here.
