The WWE has announced on its earnings call this morning that there won’t be a mainline WWE 2K game released this year.
This comes after the release of WWE 2K20 which was absolutely panned for its massive amount of bugs and the fact that it was barely playable. This was after a new developer came on-board for the series taking over from the long-standing Yukes who had developed the game for years.
It’s unclear at this point if we’ll see some other kind of arcade WWE game release to ensure that there’s a title for WWE fans to play out, but we definitely won’t see a mainline entry this year.
There will not be a WWE 2K21, confirmed by WWE
