Sony has announced a new PlayStation Indies initiative which will spotlight the best indie games being published on PlayStation. All of these games are brand new to PlayStation (and not announced at last month’s PS5 event).
The company kicked off the initiative by announcing nine new PS4/PS5 games that will be coming to the systems.
Worm Rumble is coming to PS5/PS4. It’s a real-time battle royale Worms game that will set 32 players battling it out. The game will also have cross play across PS5 and PS4.
Haven looks to be an extremely stylised co-op adventure game that is coming to PS4 and PS5. It’s described as an RPG with no quest log, no weapon tree or skill tree and very little HUD. It’s designed to let you play a game whilst relaxing (similar to Flower).
Carto from Huble Games/Sunhead Games is a PS4 puzzle adventure with beautiful hand drawn art.
Recompile is a hacking themed platformer that’s coming to PS5. It’s one of the better looking games and obviously takes advantage of the PS5’s graphical power.
Where The Heart Is will be coming to PS4 in 2020. It’s a narrative adventure that takes place between the grounded and the ethereal.
Maquette is a majestic puzzler that sees you playing pieces throughout a 3D world in first-person. The platforms haven’t been confirmed and neither has a release date.
F.I.S.T: Forged In Shadow is coming to PS4 later this year. It’s side scrolling Action game that looks to have an amazing story and beautiful art style.
Heavenly Bodies is coming to PS5/PS4 after releasing on PC. This game sees you floating around a space station in low gravity.
Creaks is coming to PS4 later this year. It’s a puzzler set in a hand-sketched world.
